Location

Porthcothan Bay is situated in North Cornwall halfway between Bedruthan Steps and Trevose Head in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Padstow with its harbour and many restaurants including Rick Stein’s Seafood restaurant is about 15 minutes away in the car.

The village has a pub and a local shop on the beach, Porthcothan Bay Stores, under the ownership of Emma and Barney for all your basic needs. Their website is www.porthcothanbaystores.co.uk

There are several golf courses nearby including the well-known links courses of Trevose and St. Enodoc providing wonderful scenic views from the fairways.

Porthcothan is a great beach for surfing – particularly when the tide is out and there are lifeguards on duty during the summer months.

Superb cliff top walks can be taken directly from the house on both sides of the Bay to Bedruthan Steps and the nearby bays of Treyarnon, Constantine Bay and Trevose Head.
